ICAR-Directorate of Poultry Research, Hyderabad cordially invites you to the“40th Annual Conference & National Symposium of Indian Poultry Science Association (IPSACON 2025)”, scheduled during 9th - 11th December 2025. The Annual Conference and National Symposium of IPSA will be the ideal platform for scientists, academicians, entrepreneurs, policy makers as well as young researchers to share their knowledge, ideas and discuss appropriate strategies for sustainable poultry production and protein security in the country.
The theme of the Conference is "Flock to the future: Embracing technology, innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainability in poultry production for protein security in Viksit Bharat".Indian poultry sector has undergone a paradigm shift in structure and operation, which has been its transformation from a mere backyard activity into a major commercial agri based industry over a period of last five decades. Availability of high yielding strains together with standardized package of practices on nutrition, housing, management and disease control have contributed to the spectacular growth rates in both layer and broiler production. However, there is a need to embrace the new technology and innovations in to poultry production for ensuring sustainability and entrepreneurship development in poultry for contributing to protein security in India. The greatest concern to poultry industry is the increasing feed cost, emerging and re-emerging diseases, issues related to poultry science education, wild fluctuations in production cost and market price of eggs and broilers besides etc. are posing serious challenges to the sector. The growing interest in diversified poultry and functional foods also need due attention.
Against this backdrop, the Organizing Committee identified the following thematic areas to address the major challenges that are limiting the poultry production and to develop a roadmap to overcome these issues to achieve sustainable production and protein security in the country.
In addition, a special session on Industry-Scientists-Farmers Interface will be organized to discuss and deliberate on the problems and challenges faced by the farmers to suggest the suitable solutions.
